Capturing the magic of your wedding day starts here.
Our journey of working together starts with a video chat, where we can get to know each other, talk through what you're planning and make sure we'd be a good fit!
Once you're ready to make it official, we crack open the champagne (figuratively... ok, maybe literally as well! 🥂) and then you sign a digital wedding agreement and pay the booking fee directly from our online portal. Super simple.
The next step will be a pre-wedding photo session, also known as an engagement session—a great way to practice looking natural in front of the camera before your wedding.
Tom will use this session to help you find your flow and also capture amazing images of you at a location that's special to you. After this session, you'll feel so much more relaxed in front of the camera!
As we get closer to your wedding, Tom will send you tips on how to get the most out of your wedding photo timeline without adding stress to your day.
Then, a few weeks before, we'll send you specific questionnaires asking you for "can't miss" family photo combinations and general timeline info. We'll hop on a video call, catch up and go through the flow of the day to make sure we're on the same page.
That's it—we're here 🎉🎈🎊🎂!
All of our preparation and chats before your wedding day will ensure it flows smoothly and that you have an amazing time. Tom will capture your wedding with aesthetic and genuine human connection in mind.
Tom approaches your wedding not just as a photographer, but as a guest in your inner circle. Getting to know your family and friends ensures people can open up and look authentic in your photographs.
The focus is to create images that don't look forced or posed, and that feel candid and real. Tom will use a little bit of guidance and a lot of wedding experience to ensure that happens!
After a few weeks, we'll deliver the high-resolution digital files in your online gallery. Then it's on to crafting your wedding album!
Tom will use his expertise to guide you in creating a truly unique piece of timeless art for you and your family.
A hundred years from now, when the hard drives and computers where our images were once stored are no longer working, all of those digital memories will be gone. The prints and albums will remain.
Polaroids, albums, handcrafted darkroom prints and more. All prints are made by Tom in our home studio.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO PHOTOGRAPHING A WEDDING?
We like to blend a hands on approach during certain parts of the day and a behind the scenes/photojournalistic approach during others. Being hands on (especially during the formal photography part of your wedding) allows us to use our expertise to help you get the best photographs possible. We can help you with posing, finding the best backgrounds that compliment your wedding colors and the best light for pictures.
When real moments start happening, we try to capture things more candidly, making sure we don't intrude and that we document them in a photojournalistic manor. We’re mindful of not drawing attention to ourselves (our camera shutters have a silent mode we use when documenting your ceremony, for example) but still make sure to use our knowledge of composition, light, and color to capture the most artistic and authentic photographs possible.
CAN YOU HELP US FEEL MORE CONFIDENT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
The short answer—yes! Many of the couples we work with tell us they want their pictures to have a candid, behind-the-scenes feel to them. This only happens when you and the people closest to you are able to open up and be true to yourselves during a photo session. This is why getting to know you as more than just our wedding clients is so important.
DO YOU PROVIDE VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICES?
We do! Heather and I have designed a unique approach to providing wedding day videography that allows us to create a short highlight film while photographing your wedding. Depending on the details surrounding your wedding and what you’re looking for, we may still recommend working with a dedicated wedding day videographer—we can talk about it in detail during our chat!
DO YOU TRAVEL TO CAPTURE WEDDINGS?
Heather and I love to travel, and frequently find ourselves in unique places capturing not only weddings, but couple sessions as well! Destination weddings are especially exciting as often we are able to meet your family, and scout a day or two before your wedding, making it much easier to fit in and capture candid moments.
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
We’re strong believers in quality over quantity—we’d much rather you absolutely love every single image in your gallery than feel overwhelmed with thousands of photographs that look and feel very similar.
On average, you can expect anywhere between 50-70 images per hour of coverage. All photographs are delivered as high resolution files in a custom online gallery. Turnaround time is typically 4-6 weeks, but don’t worry—we will send you some previews as you wait for your gallery to be finished.
DO YOU SHOOT WITH FILM OR DIGITAL CAMERAS?
Tom's a hybrid photographer, that means he'll often use both film and digital cameras. There's a timelessness to film that's difficult to emulate with digital cameras: photographs captured on celluloid film are often dreamier, almost like a drawing or painting. However, digital cameras are much more practical for fast-paced photojournalistic moments. Using a bit of both allows Tom to get the best of both worlds!
