Nick remembers falling in love the first time he saw Jenya at Syracuse. Jenya doesn’t remember that meeting at all. For her, their story begins at an “’80s in Aspen” party on a cold winter night.
For their wedding at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s home in Lenox, they described the feeling they wanted as “black tie meets garden party.” Just as important were the quieter parts: seeing their families together, noticing the exchanges between guests, and finding a few moments for themselves.
Before the wedding, Jenya told us how much she was looking forward to the long garden aisle and seeing Nick at the other end. Nick was thinking about the small, private moments only the two of them would remember. Knowing that helped shape what we paid attention to throughout the day.

The long aisle Jenya had pictured led to Nick, with their people gathered around them. Alongside the vows, we watched for the faces in the crowd and the little exchanges they might not have seen themselves.

The gardens and paths gave us space for portraits together. We love making room for these photographs in a way that still lets a couple enjoy the place they chose and get back to the people they brought there.

Dinner, then the dance floor
Nick and Jenya wanted dinner to feel warm and full of connection, followed by a party with plenty of movement. Lauren Zizza Events brought their plans together, from the garden gathering to the reception under the tent.
