As an NYC engagement photographer, Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace is one of my favorite locations to take pictures. The terrace is located near the Loeb Boathouse, and a short walk from the classic Bow Bridge. Bethesda Terrace is great because of the short walking distance to many different photogenic locations.
Eugene and Merrily decided to do their engagement session at sunrise. This allowed us to have the normally packed location all to ourselves. The beautiful sunrise gave us the perfect light for the session.
Eugene met Merrily while working the night shift as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital. The unique lifestyle of working at night allowed them to spend a lot of time around each other, and slowly but surely a romance blossomed. As Eugene says “I was into Merrily as soon as I met her. Merrily started to look for excuses to ask for my help, and we quickly new it was something special.”
It was a beautiful sunrise at Bethesda Fountain! This gave us the perfect light for taking photographs.
I love the way these classic arches frame Merrily & Eugene.
This picture reminds me of something out of a magazine, the way Merrily is glancing at the camera while they’re walking.
Double exposure are my favorite. I love adding an artistic flare to engagement photos.
So much love on the Bow Bridge.
A classic image at the foot of the steps to end the session.
