For Mabel and Troy’s styled sunrise New York City Elopement in Central Park, we took photographs at the iconic Bethesda Fountain. Mabel, a designer, made her wedding dress herself—from scratch!
With hardly another person in sight, we captured some amazing images that looked like we were the only ones out and about in NYC.
The Loeb boathouse in the distance.
The famous Bow Bridge. During the day this location is packed, but at sunrise, we got it all to ourselves!
I loved the way Mabel & Troy look at each other!

One of my favorite images from the session. I love the way they are looking at each other!

Ankita & Dhruv’s engagement photos were taken in Central Park in NYC. Though our session was in NYC, Ankita is actually from Texas, and Dhruv from India.
Ankita & Dhruv wanted a pre-wedding session that embodied their love for New York—especially the beauty of NYC in the Fall. Since their wedding would be taking place in India, capturing their love in the states before their wedding was super important and our goal during the session.
When it comes to selecting a location in Central Park, Bethesda Fountain is alway a favorite of mine. Located right next to the Loeb Boathouse, this iconic spot is very photogenic. Because it can get very crowded, I always recommend a sunrise session to keep the crowds at bay and get the location all to yourself.
Late Autumn colors in Central Park.
The fall color was incredible!
We had Bethesda Fountain all to ourselves. Also, these two were excellent dippers!
I absolutely loved how their second outfit blended so perfectly with the fall color.
Vogue, anyone?

Joe & Risa’s Central Park Engagement photos were taken on The Lake at Central Park. The Lake is located right next to Bethesda Fountain and the Loeb Boathouse—in the warmer months, you can rent a boat for around $20 an hour and paddle anywhere you want on the lake!
Capturing Joe and Risa’s session was so much different than my usual sessions, which made it a blast! I started in their boat taking a few close up images. Afterward, I rented a second boat to follow them around on the lake. It’s not easy paddling and taking photographs at the same time!
The Lake at Central Park is one of my favorite locations to take romantic photos in New York City. This incredible session was straight out of a fairytale!
The view of the lake from the shore.
We got lucky with amazing light as the sun was setting. Look at that glow!
After taking a second boat out for a few pictures, I jumped to shore and followed them around the path surrounding the lake.
One of my favorite pictures from the session.
This was a tricky image to capture, but it was so worth it.
