Emma & Bill took their engagement photos on Fire Island, near the Robert Moses Field 5 Lighthouse. After taking a few photographs on the beach, we took a dip into the ocean—the perfect way to close out this epic session!
Katie & Sal’s Brecknock Hall wedding took place on a beautiful spring day in late May. I was so excited for this event—located in the heart of the vineyards on the eastern end of Long Island, the venue provides a stunning backdrop for an elegant black tie affair like the one Katie & Sal had planned.
After a year of intimate weddings because of COVID (which I loved capturing in their own way), it was so nice to finally start photographing weddings with a larger guest count again. The energy and excitement present from Katie & Sal’s friends and family was extra special, since everyone could finally come out and celebrate without masks!
I especially enjoyed photographing Katie & Sal’s wedding details—Katie put a lot of effort into them! Here’s a tip if you’re interested in having your photographer use flowers when styling your details. Ask your florist for spare leftover flowers! Oftentimes there are extra flowers laying around when designing your wedding flowers and instead of throwing them out, they can include those bits for your photographer to add to your detail photographs.
In addition to capturing their beautiful wedding, I had such an amazing time photographing their snowboard engagement session at Hunter Mountain earlier in the year. Katie & Sal are both snowboarders like myself, so when they told me they were thinking about incorporating it into their session, I was so excited!

The Lighthouse at Montauk Point is one of my favorite locations to take engagement photos in New York. Kirstyn & Alec woke up early in the morning to take advantage of an epic sunrise and an empty beach for the engagement session!

Katie & T.J. decided to take their engagement photos in the West Village. It was a beautiful morning in NYC—we had the streets of the city to ourselves!
We made the short walk to The Highline to take a few pictures before heading down towards West 11th Street.
There are so many beautiful spots for engagement photos as you walk around the West Village. This cute little stoop located on Horatio St. was perfect!
My favorite spot in The West Village for engagement photos—this building covered in ivy is so photogenic!
We took photographs at The Standard Grill, which is where Katie & T.J. went on their first date together!
We had the restaurant all to ourselves as Katie & T.J. enjoyed a glass of wine together.
I loved how every table had a different set of dogs for their salt and pepper shakers.
The outside of The Standard was a beautiful location for photos too!
